50 Years Service


 
The London FA's very own Basil Stallard recently celebrated 50 years in football and the occasion was marked when Football Association Chairman, Geoff Thompson, presented him with a special award in recognition of his work over the years.
 
A Vice President and Director of the London FA, Basil first Registered as a Class 3b referee in 1947,  he was promoted to Class 1 in 1952 and eventually retired from refereeing in July 1975.

He was the London FA Referee Examination Secretary and examiner from 1969 to 73, then in 1973 to date he has been the Association Treasurer.
 
He was also a referee examiner with the Essex and Herts County FA ’s from 1964 to 68.
