It pleases me to be part of an influential organization that impacts upon the lives of disabled footballers and offers opportunities and development for its participants and staff far beyond the obvious football element.
The South London Special league has been an example of good practice across and London and England and now recognised across Europe . I would like to congratulate Sharon and her team of hardworking staff and volunteers who have been  elemental  to this string of successes.
I am sure this recognition will go a long way to further support the development that the South London Special league which will continue in the forthcoming weeks, months and years".

On receiving this prestigious award  Sharon Brokenshire thanked all the partners that support the SLSL and in particular Long Lane Junior Football Club, managed by Mick Northwood who has enabled the league to play whatever the weather, and through the use of their excellent facilities has ensured that every event is a blinding success.
