FA Respect Programme

The FA Respect Programme was launched in August 2008 and was The FA’s response to the largest ever consultation in grassroots football (Your Game, Your Say, Our Goal).

The top two priorities highlighted from the consultation were to ensure a qualified referee for every game and to improve the environment for all involved in grassroots football.

The Respect programme is a whole game issue which has implications in the professional game as well as in grassroots football. After a large scale pilot the four main themes of the programme in grassroots football were set as follows:

Codes of Conduct 294x129 Respect Referees 294x129
1. Codes of Conduct  2. Referee managing the game

Respect Captains 294x129 Respect Barriers 294x129
3. Captains taking more responsibility  4. Use of designated spectator areas

Respect is a long term programme which has been positively received by the football community in London and for more infor0mation and downloads please see headings below.
