London Wildcats Take Centre Stage at Wembley

Saturday 13th May saw a record 35,000 fans head to Wembley Stadium for the SSE Women’s FA Cup Final between Birmingham City and Manchester City.

The two WSL teams weren’t the only players to take centre stage on the hallowed turf. Girls from Junior Reds, QPR and Little Laces centres took to the pitch at half-time to show the record-breaking Wembley crowd what the SSE Wildcats programme is all about; having fun, making friends and playing football. The girls took part in training drills and games on the pitch while showing off their fancy footwork.

London FA would like to thank you to The FA for inviting our centres along, and thank you to the clubs for organising and bringing their girls on the day.

There are six SSE Wildcats Clubs across London open to all girls aged 5-11 years. The centres aim to provide a fun introduction to young girls interested in getting involved in football, and are also a great way of staying active and making friends.
