Football is one of GLL's key community sports.

Football Development Officer (PT 20 Hours) - Islingoton Partnership

We are currently recruiting for a Part Time Football Development Officer 20 hours, per week.

Football is one of GLL's key community sports. The Islington Football Development Partnership has partnered with the FA three times within 10 years and continues to help us provide fundamental football courses for the community.

We aim to widen participation in football within Islington and are specifically looking to encourage more young people into football. That's where you come in - with so many locations and courses already happening in our centres, we are looking for someone to support and develop the sessions, teams, events and initiatives with us. With GLL being a not-for-profit, charitable social enterprise, you can be certain that you'll be contributing to the community whilst giving more people the opportunity to partake in the sport that you love.

To provide safe and enjoyable coaching sessions and lessons with GLL, you'll need a minimum FA Level 2 and Youth Module Level 1 in Football, be passionate about football with a particular focus on getting young people in to football, particularly in and around the Whittington Park area. You'll understand pupils' needs and be able to coach a diverse range of people from children through to adults and nervous beginners to higher-level performers.
Passionate about helping people to achieve more and about the GLL community ethos, you'll provide excellent customer service to all and actively promote football at GLL and the Islington Football Development Partnership.
