Parkwood Rangers Ladies support Football For All

 

Parkwood Rangers Ladies team have renewed their commitment to provide Football For All in the Bexley area. This inclusive team have been supporters of the Rainbow Laces campaign for several years and actively encourage members of the LGBT community to participate.

Parkwood Ladies decided to support the Rainbow Laces campaign two seasons ago to show unity with the LGBT community. Rainbow laces were worn for the club’s Twentieth anniversary match against Watford Ladies which attracted over 500 people from the local community. The photos have been integrated into the Facebook and Twitter pages.  These actions were thanked and praised by several players from the squad who are part of the LGBT community. The campaign has continued to be supported through a social media campaign.

Parkwood Rangers Ladies encourages members of the LGBT community to become involved in all areas of football. A recent club match versus QPR Ladies hosted Lucy, the first Transgender referee. Lucy was welcomed by the two clubs and encouraged by supporters from the side lines.
