Haringey 6 Sports Club Host Level 1 in Coaching Football Course

18 young leaders at Haringey 6 Sports Club working towards FA Level 1 in Coaching Football qualification.

Young leaders attending Haringey 6 Sports Club were recently provided with an opportunity to study for and obtain their FA Level 1 in Coaching Football qualification, thanks to Tottenham Grammar School Foundation and London Football Association.

Haringey 6 Sports Club recently hosted the Level 1 in Coaching Football course, with 10 learners enrolled thanks to funding received from Tottenham Grammar School Foundation. With London FA basing the course at the club, an additional eight learners were also able to take part in the course, with 18 in total studying for their first coaching qualification.

The course provided support to Haringey 6 Sports Club in their project to create young leaders in Tottenham, who can inspire younger children to get involved in sport. Students were selected for their good attitude and attendance at the start of the academic year, with each student recognised as good role models for children in the local area.

Starting in December, Haringey 6 Sports Club will also be hosting a Youth Futsal League for London FA for Under-16 and Under-13 age groups. This league will provide a perfect route for students to become involved in the administration and coaching of football.

Created to provide pathways into elite sports for students, Haringey 6 Sports Club also aims to increase college attendance and to create inspiring young leaders for children in Haringey.

Working alongside Sport Development Officer Darren Wiltshire and the Tottenham Grammar School Foundation, London FA is committed to supporting the growth and impact that the college is making on sport in the local area.
