London Football Association is offering an opportunity for the football community in north and east London to have their say and shape the London FA’s future agenda on subjects that matter.
If you’re a player, coach, referee, club official or league official in north and east London – with an interest in ANY format of the game (11-a-side, small-sided, men’s football, women’s football, youth football, disability football, Futsal etc.) – the London FA want to hear your views at our FIRST North East London Football Forum.
Taking place on Thursday 21 November in the 1881 Suite at Leyton Orient Football Club from 7.30pm, the event will concentrate on TWO main topics, each with its own panel of invited guests.
The first topic looks at increasing the involvement of minority groups in football outside of actually playing the game (e.g. coaching, admin, refereeing). The second will be a discussion around ways of maintaining interest in the men’s full-sided game at grassroots level, the challenges that teams face at this level – and whether recent changes to the Laws of the Game are a help or hindrance.
In addition to the panel discussions, there is also the opportunity for those present to ask any football-related question to the Chairman, Chief Executive and senior directors of London FA.
Also, a number of individuals who use their position in football to give back to the disadvantaged or those in need have been invited to promote information about their initiatives and answer any questions attendees may have about the voluntary work they do.
The London FA and Football Foundation will also be presenting useful information for clubs and leagues alike.
Panellists booked for this event include Alex Baker, Chairman of Stonewall Football Club; Troy Townsend of Kick It Out; London FA Referees Committee Chairman, Russell Howes; and Aki Achillea, Chairman of Haringey Borough Football Club.
This event is FREE to attend but, in order to manage numbers, admission will be via ticket only.
For your free ticket, please contact the North East Divisional Chair, Kevin Wilmot, via firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 07540 441829.
