Congratulations to our Promoted Referees

London FA announces the names of referees promoted ahead of 2019/20 season.

LONDON FA IS pleased to announce that the following referees have achieved their promotion to a higher level.

Following London FA’s recent Promotion Committee Meeting, we’re pleased to announce that the following referees have achieved their promotion to a higher level.

The referees in question have shown great aptitude and attitude in developing themselves throughout the season, resulting in this celebration.

Congratulations to Tom Bishop who has been promoted to 2A and will now operate on the National League as well as the Premier League 2. 

Congratulations to Tom Danaher who has been promoted to 2B and will operate on the National League South - and thank you for all your hard work for the London FA and supporting referees also. 

Congratulations to Charles Martland, Neil Bailey and Ollie Davies who have been promoted to Level 3, now operating on the Contributory leagues (Southern League and Isthmian League) as well as operating as assistant referees on the National League South and Women’s Super League.

Congratulations to the following who have achieve promoted to Level 4 and will now referee on their respective supply leagues, as well as operating on the Contributory leagues (Southern League and Isthmian League) as an assistant referee.

Referee Promotions 2019-20

“These referees have done themselves and the county proud and have operated to a high standard in terms of both their on-field and off-field performance,” said Hugh Gilroy, Head of Workforce and Competitions at London FA. “I’d like to send them my personal congratulations for their success in the 2019/20 season – and wish them well for the future season; whenever that may start.

“Thanks must go to those that have supported our referees in reaching this stage, to the observers who go out week in week out, to observe and develop these referees and provide essential developmental feedback. Thanks also to the active officials who provided training at events and gave up their time to help the future of London refereeing, referee secretaries who appoint fixtures and to the coaches supporting those in both FA CORE and the Development Group.”
