Reasons to Smile at Earlsmead FC

We’re highlighting the work of our FA Charter Standard Clubs

IN LIGHT OF THE FA’S BUILT TO LAST CHARTER STANDARD CAMPAIGN LAUNCHING LAST MONTH, LONDON FA IS SHINING THE SPOTLIGHT ON SOME OF OUR LOCAL CHARTER STANDARD CLUBS WHO ARE REAPING THE REWARDS OF THEIR FA ACCREDITATION, STARTING WITH EARLSMEAD FC…

Earlsmead FC from Enfield North London have plenty of reasons to celebrate at the moment. Not only will this season mark their 75th anniversary, they also won the rescheduled LRS Cup in the Edmonton & District Sunday Football League last month.

Now in their third season as an FA Charter Standard Club, the players are benefitting from the equipment and access to funding that Charter Standard accreditation provides.

Meanwhile, after successfully applying for a Stay in the Game grant from the Football Foundation, the club recently updated their renowned red and white quartered shirts which have been the club’s colours since the late 1940s, having replaced their first set of shirts which were made out of blackout curtains.
