Female Referee Development Evening
Join us for our Female Referee Development evening with FIFA and WSL referee Lisa Benn!
In partnership with Middlesex FA and Amateur FA, London FA are committed to growing and supporting our female match officials across the capital.
We would like to invite all female referees to join us for a development evening which will be hosted by FIFA and WSL referee Lisa Benn.
Lisa Benn qualified as a referee at 14 and refereed her first game in the WSL in 2018. Benn most notably refereed the first female game held at Old Trafford in March 2021 and was the fourth official for the 2019 Women's FA Cup Final. In 2022, Lisa was promoted to the official FIFA list of match officials and is also Operations Officer for Sussex FA.
London FA Referee Development Officer, Deryll David, had this to say about why it is important this evening takes place:
“We are committed to the development of our female officials, with the growth of the WSL and WCL, we want to ensure our officials are best positioned to progress, develop and enjoy their refereeing. Alongside, Middlesex FA and the Amateur FA, we look to create a community of female officials.”
