Football for Everyone is about making sure everyone has a chance to be involved in football, regardless of age, gender, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, marital status, race, nationality, ethnic origin, colour, religion or belief, ability or disability. It is also about:
- encouraging and increasing the involvement of groups at all levels of football by recognising that inequalities exist and taking action to address them.
- making opportunities available where currently there are few available.
- about using the power of football to build a better future, in order to achieve these objectives.
- Football For Everyone has become a part of everything we do at The London FA.
Our Football Development Officer for Inclusion & Education role is to ensure that hard to reach groups, such as BME, Gay, Lesbian & transsexual, Refugee groups and those in areas of deprivation around the London area have the opportunity to create new teams, new leagues and also have the chance to gain qualifications that lead into employment, volunteering or working within local London FA Affiliated clubs.
The Inclusion FDO will work with relevant organisations to ensure that projects are sustainable and exit routes are available to every person that London FA work with. These organisations include Kick It Out, Muslim Women Foundation, Osmani Trust, Salaam Peace, Local councils and authorities – as well as London FA affiliated leagues and clubs, Schools, Colleges, Universities and Club Community Schemes.
