Basic Training Course

 

Course 10-11  (Intensive)

 
 
This course is open to both male and female candidates. The English language will be used. Relevant literature will be supplied but candidates should bring a pen and paper.
 
Candidates are required to complete 10 hours of pre-course study. Modules 1, 2, 3 and 5 (see below) are classroom based and casual clothing should be worn. In Module 4, candidates are required to referee six 11-a-side games.
 

Candidates successfully completing all the Modules will be registered as fully-qualified Level 7 (Junior) Referees, unless they are aged 14 or 15, when they will be registered as Level 8 (Youth) Referees.

 
The course comprises:-

Pre-Course Study:

Candidates will be sent a “Laws of the Game” booklet, a “Learn the Laws” DVD and a Pre-Course Study Pack requiring completion before Module 1

Module 1 & 2

Assessment of Knowledge Test and Course Introduction

Sat 17/07/10 (9am-5pm)

 

Module 2

Instruction on Application of Law

Sun 18/07/10 (9am-5pm)

Module 3

Written and DVD-based multiple-choice examination

Sun 25/07/10 (9am-5pm) 1/2

Module 4

Referee six 11-a-side games

Appointments to suitable games can be arranged if required

Module 5

Next Step Workshop (three hours one evening)
