The aim of the event was to promote the Charter Standard programme
for schools and to highlight the good practice that takes place in
London FA Schools. The number of Charter Standard Schools in London
has now grown to 124 and as more and more schools achieve Charter
Standard status this annual event will grow in numbers.
There were
trophies awarded to the winners and runners up of each category and
in keeping with the principles of the Charter Standard, A Fair Play
award was also presented to one team in each category that
demonstrated the best conduct (judged by the referees).

Haberdashers Askes Knights
Academy and Southfields College dominated the Secondary Schools
competition with both teams making it to the final of both the girls
and boys competitions. Haberdashers Askes did the ‘double’ and
came out on top in both finals firstly winning the Girls competition
2-0 on penalties after normal time was goalless and then winning the
boys final by 1 goal to nil. Southfields had to be content with
being twice runners up but they also won the Boys Fair Play award. |
