One hundred teenagers - selected by their county FA following - met at
St George's School in Ascot to begin a five-day course covering a
range of football related workshops run by FA staff.
From refereeing to goalkeeping, Futsal to football psychology, the
youngsters will try their hand at a variety of topics which they can
then take back to their local clubs and deliver to other children.
While many will notice an improvement in their coaching or
refereeing skills, they will also gain a number of life skills which
will prove invaluable as they embark on their chosen careers.
Two of the young leaders are representing the London FA, Elizabeth
Adewole from Hackney Free & Parochial School and Davis Rizzolo
from Cardinal Pole RC School.

Using the experience that she will gain at The FA Young Leadership
Camp 2007, Elizabeth will continue to manage various groups of people
by coaching and refereeing sessions, and as her PE teacher, Miss
Seymour states she is enthusiastic and motivated and will continue to
inspire young football players.

Davis is currently putting his Junior
Sports Leaders Award and Inspire! Hackney in Your Hands certificate to
good use, by working with younger children, helping them to actively
get involved in sport. By attending The FA Young Leadership Camp 2007,
Davis will gain valuable skills that will benefit the children he is
currently working with, plus future generations.
Davis also hopes to be able to educate
the people he works with at his local club - Crown and Manor - by
sharing the knowledge he will acquire.
