London FA Statement
A statement from London FA on the recent riots.
It is often said that what happens in football is a direct reflection of what is happening in wider society.
The abhorrent displays of racism up and down the country have consolidated our determination to repel racism in all its forms within the game we love.
The London Football Association stands in solidarity with communities affected by the racially motivated civil unrest that has taken place over recent days.
As an organisation that is dedicated to inspiring positive change through football for all, we are committed to doing whatever we can to nurture greater diversity across the grassroots game and foster a true sense of belonging.
We believe that when we do this, society benefits too. At this time, we are not mirroring society, we are establishing a football community in London that is diverse, inclusive and above all welcoming.
Football must remain accessible to everyone. Should you witness or experience any form of discrimination across grassroots football in London, then please report this to us directly here.
