FUNDING AVAILABLE for female and disability teams in London as The FA’s ‘Grow the Game’ returns

£1.5m available for the creation of new teams

FUNDING AVAILABLE FOR NEW FEMALE

AND DISABILITY TEAMS

Grow the Game 2019 applications have now opened – offering financial support for clubs in London who plan to affiliate new Female or Disability teams for the 2019/20 season.

Last year’s scheme funded more than 1,000 new female and disability teams across the country and is returning this year to encourage even more people into regular football participation.

Up to  £1,500 will be made available to every successful application, helping to relieve the financial burden on clubs by covering costs like FA coaching courses, league affiliation costs, referees’ fees, first aid kits or even kit and equipment. The application window for Grow the Game is now open but closes on Thursday 28 March

To find out more about the funding criteria or to submit an application, please visit the Football Foundation website. If you have any further questions that aren’t answered here, you can contact GrowingGrassroots@LondonFA.com

Whilst female and disability is the focus of this current scheme, further funding pots will be available ahead of next season:

  • Retain the Game – Is focused on existing adult male teams, who will be able to apply for financial support from The FA. This funding pot will launch on Wednesday 17 April.
  • Growing Grassroots - The London FA will also be opening a funding scheme in the early summer, aiming to support new and existing teams across the capital.
