Charter Standard Club Support

The Skills programme can support grassroots coaches in Charter Standard clubs in the following ways:

  • Delivering coaching sessions to the children for approximately six sessions at times convenient to the club, or a one off session at a club event.
  • Supporting coach education events, where the Skills coaches deliver presentations and practical sessions to help grassroots coaches learn skills.
  • Provide session plans and resources to grassroots coaches, in order to assist with delivery, provide them with new ideas and develop a stronger understanding of coaching young people.
  • Provide links from schools and Skills Centres to the grassroots club.

Testimonials

"We would like to thank the FA Skills Team for supporting the boys and the club, it has been great fun for the boys and gained me further ideas about certain types of drills which is a credit to their knowledge. I will be in touch picking your brains for solutions for problems that I may encounter in the future" - Long Lane JFC

"The FA Skills Team have been coaching at our Club with a couple of our teams (U8&U9) for the last 6 weeks and it has been excellent. Not only have they put on great sessions for the players, but also taken the time to talk to our coaches about the sessions. Their communication, punctuality and presentation has been spot on and they've also extended the sessions so we have had even more than we had hoped for" - Foots Cray Lions FC

What days can you help us and how long is the support for?

We are flexible in our working hours and would normally come to your training days where possible (Depending on our schedule) and would typically work with a team or coach for 6 weeks. After this we can look to come back later in the season.
