Trials For London FA Youth Representative Teams
An Opportunity for players to trial for the London FA Youth Representative Teams.
Each season we look for the best grass roots players in London to play for the London FA representative teams.
This is the elite level of grass roots football so we are looking for players of a high standard to play in the London FA Under 16 and Under 18 teams. Ideally we are looking at players from A or premier divisions of strong leagues, cup winning teams or with some other representative experience. As this is representative football you stay with your club and play for the London FA side when selected.
Our games are all played in stadiums and the players are always given hospitality after the game. The Under 16 team usually play five league fixtures each season and the Under 18 team play four but are entered in the FA County Cup, the most prestigious youth competition in the country, so will play more games depending on the cup run. After five competitive games for London players will be awarded their county cap. On top of that we play friendlies with professional academies as well as offering the opportunity to train and play with players of the highest standards in grass roots football.
We are looking for all positions in the Under 16 squad and Under 18 squad. We would prefer club recommendations from managers, secretaries or coaches although we would consider self -nomination from players between teams or who had been recently released from academies. In accordance with Safeguarding good practice all players should be pre-registered on the attached forms, on completion reporting instructions will be sent to you in the week before the trial. If selected you must return a completed consent form from your parents before you are allowed to play.
Players registered by contract with a professional academy are not eligible to apply.
Who Can Apply?
Any player born in London – as a guideline born within a London borough.
Any player registered to an LFA affiliated club.
Age Requirements
Under 16 Team - Any player with a birthday between 01/09/02 and 31/08/03. We may, by exception, take a player with a birth date between 01/09/03 and 31/08/04 but this would be at the manager’s discretion.
Under 18 Team – Any player born between 01/09/00 and 31/08/02
Trials Day is Sunday 15th July

Under 16s Arrival 10am, Matches Begin 10:30-12:00
Under 18s Arrival 12pm, Matches Begin 12:30-14:30
