Nominations have opened for The FA and McDonald’s Grassroots Football Awards 2018!

Grassroots Football Awards 2018

It takes a team effort on and off the pitch to make football great For All.

The FA and McDonald’s Grassroots Football Awards are for people who make a positive difference. We recognise those individuals and groups who put their heart and soul into the game. It’s our chance to celebrate fantastic work – and say thank you for inspiring us all to aim for greatness.

Award Values:

Football is a game For All. It is people who make grassroots football happen week-in, week-out. From supporters, referees, coaches or volunteers, winners will be those whose actions and behaviour make The FA’s PRIDE values part of the game for their clubs, leagues and communities.

Progressive - reaching for improvement and innovation

Respectful- leading by example, inspiring positive behaviour in others

Inclusive - uniting people of any age, ethnicity and from any background

Determination - rising to and overcoming challenges

Excellent - striving to make football the best it can be

Award Criteria:

The FA’s PRIDE values and behaviours are the backbone of The FA and McDonald’s Grassroots Football Awards. We’re looking for people who make these values part of clubs, leagues and local communities up and down the country. Read more information about the selection criteria.

We’ll be looking for great examples from across every role in grassroots football. When making a nomination think about how you can evidence the difference and impact on those around them.

When making a nomination show us how they behave with fairness and integrity, how they create a fun, safe and inclusive environment for everyone, and how they’re always striving for the best – in themselves and those around them. Tell us how they’ve risen to and overcome challenges, and how they’ve had a truly positive impact in their community.
