Tell us about your role(s) in football

Managing Muslimah Sports Association (MSA) and creating pathways for BAME women into sports, NED at British Fencing & Trustee Council & IAG Member at London FA.

What does a typical week look like for you?

Monday to Wednesday and Friday is working in Credit Policy for Japanese Bank.
Thursday is MSA meetings and planning for Football, Basketball & Badminton programmes and I have now added British Fencing Manager to my list of sporting roles!

Who are/were your most important female role models?

My mum, she was a business woman running 2 businesses and the household too, she worked 24/7 and will always be a great role model for me.

Tell us one thing still on your bucket list

To travel more widely, see more of the world starting with Malaysia and then Japan when British Fencing make it the 2020 Olympics! J

Where is your go to place to get away from it all?

Watching my son play football, I love doing that.

What has been your proudest moment in the last 1-5 years?

Winning awards for my work.  It’s a really good feeling to be recognised for the successful programmes we are now rolling out and scaling up across multiple sports.  Offering girls and young women the right environments within which to learn and take part who will go on to coach and inspire others is incredibly rewarding.
