Brand-New Youth Futsal League Starting In Haringey

U13 and U16 divisions to kick-start new Youth Futsal League in London.

London Football Association is pleased to announce that the newly-formed London FA Youth Futsal League will commence on 24 November, with its first two divisional fixtures being played at Haringey Sixth Form College.

This season sees London FA launching the brand-new Youth Futsal League, which has divisions formed across the city.

Having received support from the FA Futsal Fund, a grant which has invested £300,000 into the development of the game in England, the first new divisions have been set up at Haringey Sixth Form College, with U13 and U16 boys’ fixtures commencing on 24 November.

Set up to provide affordable Futsal to children in the local area, the London FA Youth Futsal League will deliver a great opportunity for new players to be introduced to the sport.

Darren Wiltshire, of Haringey Sixth Form College, said: “Our club is very thankful to the Football Foundation and London FA for the Futsal grant, as we hope it will get hundreds of new, young players involved in the game.

“Futsal is known to be a great way for young players to improve quickly, so we feel this league us a good opportunity for young players and local clubs to experience Futsal.”

The Haringey Sixth Form College comprises the North component of the league, with other divisions starting in the East at Leyton Score Centre and the South at Sedgehill Secondary School.
