Referee Academy Co-Ordinators Wanted

Help support appointments at London FA's newly-established referee academies

London FA is recruiting two volunteers to help support appointments at the Association’s two newly-established referee academies.

The role is of vital importance to the retention, growth and development of referees in London.

This role is best suited to individuals that have experience and knowledge of how refereeing appointments work and will need to commit to serving the role on one Sunday per-month.

Our Referee Academy Co-Ordinators will help give back to new referees, who will require guidance and support in their development at the start of their own refereeing career.

London FA’s two referee academies are at Leyton Orient Academy in East London and AFC Wimbledon in South-West London – and we’re looking for a co-ordinator for both locations.

Nicholas Wright, Workforce Development Officer at London FA, said: “This is a great opportunity to give back to our newly-qualified referees – and to be able to head our newest referee academies.”

If you would like to be considered as the new Co-ordinator, please make your interest known to the Refereeing Department by sending a cover letter stating your experience and reasons for applying for the role (no more than 500 words), please send this to refereeing@londonfa.com with the subject line ‘Professional Academy Referees Co-ordinator’.

The deadline will close on 18 October 2019
