YouTube Workouts Courtesy of Clinical Exercise Therapy Team

A fantastic new resource in on offer via YouTube.

The South London Grassroots Football League was formed in 2010 by NHS Mental Health Professionals keen to allow their clients to play competitive football against other teams and trusts in London.

The league managed to gain FA affiliation and its first season was in 2010/11. The league  has 10 teams competing but is currently on hold due to COVID-19.

The league is keen to get back action soon but in the meantime the Clinical Exercise Therapy team at South West London & St Georges Mental Health NHS Trust has started a YouTube channel where they post exercise videos weekly for both patients and staff.

This is an initiative that has been started aimed to reach service users living in the community to exercise at home while gyms are closed. Players from the South London Grassroots Football League have been getting involved in these valuable sessions.

The channel is now open to all; including inpatients, staff, carers and the general public.

To have access to the exercise workout library subscribe to the channel ‘Clinical Exercise Therapy NHS’ and click the notification bell to get updates of future videos.
