Applications now being welcomed to become one of London's Wildcats Girls' Football Centres for 2020-21.

London FA is delighted to announce that the application window for clubs and organisations to register as a Wildcats Girls’ Football Centre is now officially open.

The Wildcats Girls’ Football programme continues to be the best environment for girls aged 5-11 to give football a try. Research has shown that girls aged 5-11 want to play in a fun, social, safe, girls-only environment where they can learn new skills, make friends and have fun. This is exactly what the Wildcats Girls’ Football programme offers. Wildcats is aimed to support beginners, aged 5-11, into football by offering regular recreational opportunities to play and take part in fun, engaging activities created just for girls.

If you’ve thought about delivering football activity for girls aged 5-11 years, the Wildcats programme can provide you with full support, training, funding and opportunities to do this.

WHY BECOME A WILDCATS GIRLS' FOOTBALL CENTRE?

Following expert training, all centres approved for 2021 will start in April. Sessions should take place on a weekly basis, either after school or at weekends, subject to the local organiser. They should provide a safe environment where girls with no football experience can; have fun engaging with sport, develop fundamental skills, try a variety of sessions, learn new things and create foundations for a lifelong love of sport.

You must be able to deliver the programme for a minimum of two seasons, and have a fully FA qualified coach to lead the sessions. *Please note that coaches will only need an FA Playmaker Course, not a Level 1 as has previously been the case to run the Wildcats Sessions which is all online and free of charge and can be completed now!*
