2020 Grassroots Football Awards - Nominations Open

It's been an unprecedented season, which means we want to acknowledge our grassroots heroes more than ever.

The nomination window for this year’s FA and McDonald’s Grassroots Football Awards is now OPEN!

It's been an unprecedented time for everybody across the country, with many understandably disappointed that the grassroots season was ended so abruptly. However, in the wake of the current situation, our grassroots community continues to stick together and we want to highlight the amazing people involved in our game locally.

The FA and McDonald’s Grassroots Football Awards are for people who make a positive difference. It’s our way to celebrate the fantastic individuals who put their heart and soul into the grassroots game across England – and say a huge thank you to the incredible volunteers who inspire us all.

These volunteers have already weathered a number of storms this season, and the football community is now dealing with its biggest following the recent Covid-19 outbreak. It’s more important than ever to come together, recognise and thank them for their hard work and dedication in a challenging time. Make sure you tell us who makes a difference to your football community and nominate them by the 18 May.

The awards recognise and reward the people, clubs and leagues that deliver grassroots football throughout the country. Awards are split into categories, and County FAs select a local winner for each. These form a shortlist for The FA’s national winners, selected by a national judging panel.
