Help us ensure that football is representative of our community and a game truly for all.

London FA: listening to the voice of our diverse communities

Please complete our questionnaire, to help us in our quest to tackle all forms of racial inequality in football across London

Football should be a welcoming experience for everyone.

Racism – in fact all forms of discrimination – have no place in the grassroots game, and the London FA is determined to tackle it.

The people that work with us should fully represent the communities we serve, and that’s why we’re transforming our hiring processes to become a more diverse and inclusive organisation for the capital’s football.

This process has already resulted in the appointment of a new Board, Council, Youth Council and Senior Management team. At its highest levels, the London FA is now much more representative of our wonderfully diverse city. We’ve also set up a specific Racial Equality Group, drawn from our Board, Youth Council and staff team, with the purpose of identifying the issues surrounding race in football in London and delivering an action plan to address these issues.

It’s a good start. But we know we have so much more to do - and we need your help. We’re so lucky to have such a fantastic and diverse football community in the capital and it’s important that we hear your voice. The London FA doesn’t have all answers but talking and listening to you will give us a much better chance of developing an action plan that leads to real and lasting changes.

We’ll be circulating a questionnaire to get as broad a range of views and opinions as possible. This will be followed by a series of one-to-one interviews and focus groups to explore the responses in more detail.

You might be thinking you’ve heard all this before – only to find nothing changes. Well, not this time. We’ll be sharing all of our findings with you, along with the action plan that we develop as a result, so you can see directly the changes we’ll be making.

This is about the London FA engaging properly with its grassroots clubs through open, honest and safe conversations. We’ve got a lot to learn - and with your help – we pledge to keep learning. To keep fighting racism and discrimination, and to emerge a better, stronger, more welcoming football association, and a voice for all our communities.
