The FA Launch New Online Safeguarding Course

The 'Safeguarding Children Course' can be completed by anyone involved in grassroots football.

The 'Safeguarding Children Course' is designed to give you an understanding of safeguarding concerns, from ensuring best practice and recognising poor practice, and also teach you how to report concerns quickly and effectively.

You'll also learn how to provide a secure environment for young people, which will help to ensure that your football sessions are fun, enjoyable and safe for all.

The online learning is divided into nine separate sections, which include various activities and questionnaires. You can complete the course at your own pace and at a time that suits you best.

Anyone aged 16 years old or over can complete the course, and in total, the learning will take approximately two hours.

Upon completion, you will receive the Safeguarding Children qualification and accompanying certificate, which will be valid for two years. Anyone who completes the course can also progress onto The FA Welfare Officers Course should they wish.
