Yasmin Hussain, has been selected as a batonbearer for the 2022 Commonwealth Games
We’re delighted to share that London FA Council member, Yasmin Hussain, has been selected as a batonbearer for the 2022 Commonwealth Games and will be carrying the baton on Sunday 5th June.
Two thousand people across England have been chosen to be part of the Birmingham 2022 Queen's Baton Relay ahead of the Games.
The baton is touring 72 Commonwealth nations and territories before the opening of the Games in July.
It will briefly arrive back in the UK for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee before continuing its journey.
As well as Yasmin being a London FA Council Member, she’s also a FA Community Champion for female coaches, and she said it was "brilliant" to be chosen.
