London FA commissions Oaks Consultancy to develop their Commercial Partnerships Strategy

We have enlisted the services of strategic planning specialists Oaks Consultancy to develop a new strategy for London FA.

London FA has commissioned Oaks Consultancy to develop a new strategy with the aim of driving long-term commercial engagement in their mission.

Oaks Consultancy is a strategic planning and income generation consultancy for organisations with a social purpose. They provide bespoke strategic solutions for national associations, federations and governing bodies who are changing the world through sport. Their team specialise in helping organisations across the globe to transform their vision into reality and achieve long-term financial sustainability.

The team at Oaks will be working alongside our CEO Paul Bickerton and Head of Partnerships, Aquila Burgess, to facilitate greater collaboration between commercial enterprises and our team here at London FA.

The project involves a comprehensive review of London FA’s existing activity within the commercial partnership environment, as well as industry and competitive research in order to identify prospective partners. From there, the team will work to develop a rights structure which articulates the value of different packages to potential partners.

Commenting on the launch of the project, Adam Walker, CEO at Oaks, said: "We are really pleased to be able to support Paul, Aquila, and the team at London FA to make their commercial aspirations a reality. They have so much value to offer a potential partner, and I’m excited to see where this new strategy will propel them. Their commitment to using the power of football for good shines through in everything they do, and I have no doubt that this will enable them to build purpose-driven, long-term relationships with corporations who align with their values."

Aquila Burgess, Head of Partnerships at the London FA added: "We are delighted to have confirmed our partnership with Oaks, to help us develop and deliver our commercial strategy. Building new partnerships and increasing our commercial income will allow us to better serve our members and further modernise the London FA. We are seeking strong collaborative partnerships that meet the values of our business and can deliver long-term improvements to the grassroots game in London. We were hugely impressed with the Oaks team and are very much looking forward to learning from them on this exciting new area of work."
