London FA are thrilled to announce that Rhea Daly from Greenwich Powerchair has been awarded Grassroots Coach of the Year (Disability Pathway) 2023!

Rhea Daly is Club Secretary, Welfare Officer, and Club Development Officer for Greenwich Powerchair. She has set up a fantastic team and dedicates her time to coach them weekly. Rhea ensures that everyone is cared for properly and helps team members through all their ups and down, always bringing the energy and positivity to the club. 

During lockdown, the team were unable to meet up for training unlike many people. For disabled players, this hit hard as the weekly training was the one thing the players would look forward to, to train and have a laugh with teammates. Rhea set up a team WhatsApp and weekly zoom calls for members to continue their sportsmanship and have a catch up. 

Rhea has been the stronghold for the team. She is dedicated and fights for every but of funding for equipment for the club. Not only does she engage with players, but she also engages with the carers as well. Without Rhea, none of this would exist and they couldn’t be more grateful for her.
