London FA are proud to announce that Luka Elson has been awarded Grassroots Match Official of the Year 2023!

Luka Elson is a Level 7 referee, predominately refereeing in the Girls Super League and in the London FA Girls County Cup finals. She is noted as being extremely professional, functional, and willing to listen. In being a young female referee, she is an inspiring role model for young girls on how to behave both in and around the football pitch. Luka is an excellent example as to why more young females should begin their refereeing journey. 

Luka is never afraid to deal with difficult decisions and people while refereeing, not allowing any intimidating and deals with adults professionally and diligently. 

One of London FA’s best and brightest young, female referees, Luka is a member of the Arsenal FC Referees Academy with plenty of London Cup and Premier League Youth Tournament experience. Luka was an assistant referee for the 2021/22 London Under 16 Girls Cup Final. It was an absolute pleasure to give Luka her Cup Final Referee debut for the 2022/23 finals.
