The FA's Respect programme provides a series of tools for leagues, clubs, coaches, players and parents from grassroots to elite football - to help ensure a safe, positive environment in which to play the game.
14 years old is the minimum age you must be to qualify as a referee.
£165.00 – referee registration, venue hire, tutor costs, essential referee equipment including: red and yellow cards, a match day wallet, whistle and lanyard and safeguarding children awareness training.

If you are 16 years old or older you must have a valid and in date DBS. Getting a DBS with the London FA costs £10.00 which is valid for three years.
Referee kit costs £35 this includes (shirts, shorts and socks)
At the beginning of each season you must also re-register and this costs £20, providing it is done before 31st July, or £30 thereafter.
