Womens Small Sided League With

We are pleased to announce that the London FA have secured FA Small Sided Funding to run a series of small sided women’s leagues.

In partnership with Play Five Aside the first league will be kicking off on Thursday 28th February at Cantelowes Gardens, Camden Road, NW5 2AP.  The cost of the league is just £150 and each team will have a minimum of seven matches across the course of the league.

Small sided football is becoming increasingly popular across London and the number of women taking part in it is steadily rising.  It is a great way to keep fit, but also flexible in terms of fitting it in as it is something available to do straight from work, and it’s a great opportunity to have fun and work out in a team environment rather than going to the gym.

Play Five Aside is an up and coming small sided provider and deliver many leagues across London at quality facilities.  They have been keen to get a women’s league running for a while now and this is a great opportunity to offer women in London an affordable and quality way of doing it.

Emma Barnes, Women’s & Girls FDO, London FA says ‘’We are really pleased to receive this funding from the FA Small Sided fund as it is a key development area for us at the London FA.  We want to offer more small sided opportunities for ladies to play and we are working with Play Five Aside to do this.  The league is open to new and existing teams to take part and as it is very competitively priced so we hope it will appeal to many teams and organisations’’
